Wellness Support & Advocacy

Our Wellness Advocacy Program was designed to help Muslims experiencing healthcare injustice, medical gaslighting or discrimination to get the proper care they need. We educate our clients so that they can make informed decisions to reduce the undesired effects of inadequate care or delayed treatment. Our wellness advocates work to address the physical, mental, emotional, and social aspects of health, striving to create a culture of wellness that enables people to thrive.

The Muslim Health & Wellness Centre partners with faith-based organizations to provide ongoing education and resources that improve the health of muslims in order to reduce health disparities in their communities. Our approach includes a combination of educational, technical, and operational skills workshops on important health topics including blood pressure monitoring, diabetes education, nutrition literacy and physical fitness.

Supporting Children with Disabilities

The Muslim health & Wellness Centre works in partnership with school boards and Private school's to help children with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, chronic and/or long-term medical conditions, and specific diagnoses such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We help them to restore the body's symmetry and function by helping move their body into its proper position. We also work to restore range of motion and mobility, which leads to improved motor skills and the child's overall well-being.
